Fees for the 2023-2024 Financial Year
Assessment, recommendations, therapy and training
Speech pathology consultation (with a qualified Speech Pathologist):

NDIS - $193.99 per hour (includes 15 minutes of non-face-to-face time)

Private/Medicare - $190.00 for a 60 minute session, $142.5 for a 45 minute session and $100 for a 30 minute session (excluding GST)
Speech pathology practice session (with a level 2 Allied Health Assistant):

NDIS - $86.79 per hour (includes 15 minutes of non-face-to-face time)

Private/Medicare - $114 for a 60 minute session, $85.50 for a 45 minute session and $57 for a 30 minute session (excluding GST)

Travel
Travel fees are based on the most recent NDIS price guide and MMM guidelines for mobile NDIS services. Travel for private or Medicare-rebated services are charged at the hourly consultation rate (pro-rata).

Funding Options
Medicare - Banksia Speech Pathology does not bulk-bill however eligible clients can claim a Medicare rebate for up to 5 sessions (each calendar year) of $56 per session in the 22/23 financial year. Fees for services will need to be paid in full prior to making a claim. Please speak to your GP about eligibility for a Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Plan, or alternative Medicare rebates.

National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) – NDIS funding may be available for individuals with lifelong disability or for children under the age of 7 who meet the early intervention requirements. Private Health Insurance – Please contact your health insurance company to clarify whether speech pathology is included in your policy, as well as rebates and annual limits.
